SMS Terms & Consent

Last Updated: November 4, 2025

SMS Alert Program

Severe Weather Call by Tornado Path offers SMS text message alerts as part of our Premium subscription service. This page explains what you're agreeing to when you opt in to receive SMS alerts.

Your Consent

By providing your mobile phone number and checking the SMS consent box during Premium signup, you expressly consent to receive automated text messages from Severe Weather Call by Tornado Path regarding:

  • Tornado Warnings - Active tornadoes confirmed on the ground or detected by radar
  • Tornado Watches - Conditions favorable for tornado development
  • Severe Thunderstorm Warnings - Dangerous storms that can spawn tornadoes

Important: Your consent is not a condition of purchasing any goods or services. However, SMS alerts are only available with a Premium subscription ($3/month).

Message Frequency

Message frequency varies based on severe weather activity in your monitored locations. You may receive:

  • No messages during periods of calm weather
  • Multiple messages during active severe weather events
  • Messages at any time - day or night, 24/7/365

We only send alerts when official National Weather Service warnings are issued for your specific monitored addresses. We do not send promotional, marketing, or non-emergency messages.

Message & Data Rates

Standard message and data rates may apply from your mobile carrier. Please check with your carrier regarding their text messaging plan. Tornado Path is not responsible for any charges you may incur from your mobile carrier.

Supported Carriers

Our SMS service is available on all major U.S. carriers including AT&T, T-Mobile, Verizon, Sprint, Boost, Cricket, MetroPCS, U.S. Cellular, and many others. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
